Group Membership: Terms of Purchase

 

Hi, Dr Helen here, I am so excited that you are planning to join our membership and intimate allergy community. Before you buy the membership, there are a few things you need to know about what you are purchasing, what you can expect and the support you will get from me. Please read the terms below and if you have any questions once you’ve finished, please do not hesitate to get in touch and I would be happy to chat further.

The terms and conditions set out below apply to your purchase of the group membership offered by Dr Helen Allergy – Dr Helen Eve Evans-Howells Ltd. Please read them carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under law and set out the terms under which Dr Helen Eve Evans-Howells (“I”, “me” or “my”) provides services to you, as purchaser of the Allergy Help Course. These terms are subject to any rights you have under consumer law which I am bound, and which cannot be waived.

 

Membership Outline

If you purchase a membership, you will be able to join Dr Helen's closed Facebook group. This will give you access to regular Q&A sessions with Dr Helen where you will be able to meet other people who understand your situation. Dr Helen will be available to closely support you within the group and help guide you on your eczema and allergy journey. Dr Helen will periodically host expert speakers in the group so you will have regular access to learning and new information.

Dr Helen will host a monthly Q&A session and either a Zoom meet up or another live Q&A session. 

Each month, there will be one Q&A with a specialist dietitian and one Q&A with a psychologist to help support you further. 

Membership Specifics

Following successful purchase of membership, you will be admitted into the Facebook group. Payment is either taken monthly or yearly depending on the option you have chosen. 

Please remember that the membership gives generic advice and is not designed to replace a consultation with your own doctor. As Dr Helen will not have access to your individual medical records, she cannot advise you on health matters specific to you and cannot advise you on what medication you can or cannot take. Dr Helen will simply be explaining what is available, but it is always sensible to check with your own doctor or pharmacist to ensure the medications are safe for you. Dr Helen will accept no liability for any health decisions you choose to make without consulting a doctor. These same rules apply to any advice given by our clinical psychologist and dietitians. Dr Helen accepts no liability for any advice given by these professionals.

Please be aware that the group is delivered entirely in English and no translations are provided.

Dr Helen does offer a free 15 minute video consultation. Dr Helen uses a medical platform and notes will be taken and securely stored. If you wish to provide clinic letters, then this will help guide Dr Helen's advice. If you are in the UK then Dr Helen may give you specific medical advice at this time as she will be taking medical details and therefore will be able to safely give advice. Please remember that at other times within the group, you may need to check with your doctor about any advice given. If you are outside of the UK, Dr Helen will arrange a consultation with you but can only share with you current guidelines and evidence. As Dr Helen is not insured to consult with patients outside of the UK, any advice will need to be discussed with your own doctor before carrying this through.

Payment Terms

The cost of the membership is laid out on the sales landing page. The cost is £49.99 per month or £499.99 annually. Your payment fee will never increase, unless you choose to cancel your membership and rejoin again at a later date. If you rejoin, you will be subject to the latest payment terms.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Your privacy and protection of your personal data is important to us. We will keep your personal data confidential and will never share it with unconnected third parties. Your payment information will be processed by a secure third-party processor. We will be provided with your email address and name but never be provided with your financial information.

Please be aware that any live events will be recorded and your name and image/video may be captured. The recordings of the training will be kept and made available to others who may purchase the membership. If you provide or share any information within these sessions about yourself or your business, that information will be shared within the group. Should you not wish to be recorded, please ensure that if you attend any training, your camera is switched off and your field name is changed to “Attendee” with your initials, so that support can still be offered, but no personal identifiable information will be captured.

Refunds and Cancellation

As you are purchasing a membership and will have access to digital content which includes data which is produced and supplied in digital form, you are only entitled to a refund in limited circumstances.  In purchasing the membership, you are waiving your rights to a refund unless the statutory circumstances for refunds are met.

Memberships can be cancelled at any point, and your access to the Facebook group will be kept open until the next payment is due. If you have purchased an annual membership, then refunds are only available in limited circumstances.

Intellectual Property

From time to time you may be given access to useful materials by Dr Helen. At all times, even following purchase, the intellectual property rights and copyright connected with those materials remain mine, (Dr Helen Eve Evans-Howells Ltd / Dr Helen Allergy). You have the right to use the materials as learning tools but you are not permitted to duplicate, imitate or provide copies to third parties, whether for free or as part of a sale.

Feedback and Complaints

If you have any feedback about the membership, please share it with me. It is always great to receive words of praise and also helpful to get constructive comments. I really hope that you love the membership, but if you would like to make a complaint, this should be made in writing to support@drhelenallergy.co.uk

General

We will be available by email Monday to Friday between 8am to 6pm. Dr Helen or one of her employees will respond as soon as possible and within 48 hours during the hours stated.

We intend to rely on the written terms set out in these terms and conditions. These written terms shall constitute the entire agreement between us.

If any provision or part-provision of these terms and conditions is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted. Any such modification or deletion shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these terms and conditions.

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The Courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter and proceedings arising out of your purchase of the course.

Additional Terms

Private Facebook Group

You will have access to Dr Helen's private membership Facebook Group to support you.

Dr Helen Allergy / Dr Helen does not run or own a Facebook group and makes no guarantees that the Facebook group will be available at any specific time. If Dr Helen's Facebook group is closed for any unforeseen reason beyond her control, she will make efforts to quickly arrange an alternative method of continuing the membership - for instance, by using another platform.

Behaviour

It is requested that at all times your behaviour towards others is polite and respectful. Dr Helen will not be held responsible for the behaviour or actions of any other course participant. Should your behaviour be deemed offensive or inappropriate, Dr Helen reserves the right to remove you from the membership with immediate effect.

General

It is the intention of Dr Helen that she would answer questions in the Facebook group every few days and appear live twice a month. If this is not possible (for example due to illness), Dr Helen will let everyone know as soon as possible.
